The City of Pismo Beach only accepts applications for position that are currently vacant. A separate Employment Application is required for each position. Some positions require that a supplemental questionnaire be completed and submitted.

All of the required materials must be received in the Human Resources Department by the final filing deadline. Postmarks are not accepted. Resumes are welcome but will not be accepted in lieu of a completed Employment Application. Following the close date for the open position, testing and/or an oral interview may be scheduled. Candidates selected for testing and/or the oral board interview will be notified of the date and time. The oral board uses standardized, structured questions that cover important aspects of the position to gauge your ability to perform the required tasks.
