Please call at least 24 hours prior to your requested inspection time so that we may adequately meet your needs. The Development Engineering Division provides inspection of improvements by appointment during the following hours:

            8:30 am - 4:00 pm 
            Monday - Friday

A copy of the City of Pismo Beach Public Works Engineering Standards can be purchased at the City Hall, 2nd floor, for $5.00 a book.

Cancellations must be made by calling the Department Administrative Assistant at (805) 773-4656 at least one hour prior to the requested inspection time.

Due to the demanding inspection schedule, an applicant who is not ready for a scheduled inspection may be assessed an additional $30.00 fee for a re-inspection.

Project improvements shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the City of Pismo Beach Public Works Engineering Standards and Specifications, June 2005, and in accordance with all applicable City ordinances.

Where no City standard or specification exists, the standards and specifications of the County of San Luis Obispo shall govern. The City Engineer shall determine the specific standards that apply in case of question.
