The Ira Lease Park project has been in the works for over two years and coming this fall the park will be reopened to the public.  The “new” old park will feature two group BBQ areas, a playground, water fountains with a “doggy fountain” and a new drainage system to prevent the floods of the past.  The public is encouraged to use the park and BBQ equipment year round as a break from a day at the beach or as a day in and of itself.

Shortly after Ira Lease Park is reopened the City expects the new playground at Boosinger Park to be installed.  The new park, designed by Dave Bang and Associates will feature a play structure which has a slide, climbing wall, drum panel, whirlwind climber, 10’ climbing matrix, chin up bars, monorail slider, sky swivels, round about climber, twister, duel arch swings and a tire swing.  The newly revamped Boosinger Park playground is expected to be installed and open to the public in early 2010.
