Update on Wadsworth Avenue paving: The project will commence when school is out for summer break to limit impacts. SoCalGas will be lowering the underground gas line between Bello and Hanford beginning in Summer 2024. Paving will follow the lowering of the gas lines.

2022 Paving Project
On Tuesday April 12, 2022, the Pismo Beach City Council awarded a contract to CalPortland Construction for $10,587,902.10, to pave approximately 33% of the city’s streets. The project also includes a reconfiguration of Mattie Road to install a buffered bike lane, paving of the Bluffs walking trail, installation of a sidewalk under Highway 101 on Spyglass Drive and paving of the City Hall parking lot. A list of the roads included in this year's project is below. Construction is expected to begin the week of June 27, 2022. Updates will be posted here and will include street closures and parking restrictions as well as the contractor's three week look ahead, so check back often for the latest information. Residents will also be notified by door hangers, several days prior to construction activities that will occur in their neighborhood.
