Ocean Boulevard Improvement Project

 Date Description of Work
Week of August 8th Installing structural reinforcing steel and shotcrete for structural skin for bluff stabilization as well as installing tiebacks (horizontal reinforcement).
Placing of concrete for curb, gutter and sidewalk along Ocean Blvd.
Install patch back paving along new curb and gutter.
Week of August 15th Installing structural reinforcing steel and shotcrete for structural skin for bluff stabilization as well as installing tiebacks (horizontal reinforcement).
Install new benches along the new sidewalk.
Storm drain modifications for the new storm drain outfall at the bottom of Morro Ave.

Week of August 22nd  Installing structural reinforcing steel and shotcrete for structural skin for bluff stabilization as well as installing tiebacks (horizontal reinforcement).

The Ocean Boulevard Improvement project will repair storm damaged bluff face and infrastructure along Ocean Boulevard between Morro Avenue and Cuyama Avenue. This includes bluff stabilization, replacing the Morro Stairs beach access, and replacement of the Morro storm drain outfall. The Morro Stairs and the storm drain outfall will both be incorporated into the bluff stabilization in order to improve both resistance to wave action and visual appeal. The project will also improve coastal access along Ocean Boulevard by installing a pedestrian walkway between Vista Del Mar and Wawona Avenue.
