The Ocean Boulevard Improvement project will repair storm damaged bluff face and infrastructure along Ocean Boulevard between Morro Avenue and Cuyama Avenue. This includes bluff stabilization, replacing the Morro Stairs beach access, and replacement of the Morro storm drain outfall. The Morro Stairs and the storm drain outfall will both be incorporated into the bluff stabilization in order to improve both resistance to wave action and visual appeal. The project will also improve coastal access along Ocean Boulevard by installing a pedestrian walkway between Vista Del Mar and Wawona Avenue. Below is an exhibit showing the project location and you can click here to view the video interview with Director of Public Works/City Engineer, Ben Fine with more information regarding this project.
