Street Maintenance Project

The City recently wrapped up the 2014 Street Maintenance Project which included the placement of approximately 2000 tons of rubberized asphalt on Longview Avenue in Pismo Heights and Naomi Avenue and Ruby Court in the St. Andrews Tract. This portion of the project was funded in part by a Rubberized Pavement Grant awarded to the City from CalRecycle, because in addition to providing outstanding ride quality and increased durability, the rubberized asphalt placed consists of recycled California-generated waste tires. The City is proud that an estimated 4,700 tires were diverted from the waste stream by this project.
